Laura, Clinical Assistant

“I love getting to know our patients and helping them understand the importance of sleep and how it can affect their lives. It means a lot to all of us when we see the positive impact that proper sleep can have on their health and personal outlook as they start feeling better.”

Laura began her career in healthcare as an orthodontic assistant in 1989. She joined her employer and orthodontist, Dr. Bob Waugh in 2015 as his clinical assistant at Dental Sleep Medicine of Athens in 2015. Laura's understanding of dental health, TMJ disorders and oral appliance therapy for obstructive sleep apnea is a great asset for our practice and our patients.

Family time for Laura includes spending time with her wonderful husband Nelson and their two adult children, Chris and Haley, along with three grand-dogs.
